The PGSA Colloquium Series is a weekly series organized for the benefit of Western philosophy graduate students, in which students present their work to fellow graduate students and faculty members in order to get feedback.
In early summer, we organize a ‘dry run’ practice session for those who are presenting at the CPA, other conferences taking place at congress, or at any other conference being held during the summer months. Throughout the summer we also run a Works in Progress series (WiPs). WiPs is more informal than the regular colloquium series and offers those working on their Master’s thesis, chapters of a PhD thesis, or papers for conferences a chance to get feedback on their written work, as well as presentation. A copy of the paper being presented is made available in advance for those who are interested in reading it.
